How it Works
Simply mail, email or let us pick up your photo and or video collection and let Rewind Memories do the rest.
When it comes to organizing memories, this may seem a daunting task to some. For that reason, may we suggest that you allow us to do what we do best and that is to organize and present your memories in a well thought out creative production. Your memories are safe with us.
- For others that may have already organized their memories or have them currently in digital format, we propose the following:
- Organize the photos and/or videos that you wish to include and put them into the order you want them displayed.
- For photos, label and number each photo either using a sticky note or by writing on the back of the photo with pencil. Number the photos starting with "one" and count upwards. If you plan to include digital photos, it is best to simply change the name of the file to be the number of the photo itself (e.g. "01.jpg"). Digital photos can be sent using any type of digital storing media (e.g., CD, DVD, flash drive, zip file via email, etc.) For film, there are essentially two (2) options; we can either convert VHS/reel to reel (Super 8 or 8mm)/Digital 8 to DVD or more complex editing can be accomplished upon request.
- Include what you would like your opening and closing titles to be. These can be used to denote photo timeframes, separate events, etc. If you would like captions on photos, simply write on the back of the photo what you want the caption to be. For digital media, write the caption on a piece of paper and include what photo you would like the caption to appear on. (e.g., Playing in the Sand-.02.jpg)
- Choose your background music or let us assist in providing event-appropriate music with the genre of your choosing. The number of songs will be determined by the length of your photo montage or film length. Due to copyright laws, we will purchase songs on your behalf from online music providers such as iTunes for 99 cents each.
- Also included with your package is a personalized DVD label and case. Choose a label picture and text and you.re all set.
- Essentially, there are two ways for us to receive your memories.
- Placing life long memories in the trust of the postal service is a scary thought to some; We will glady pick them up for you if you live within 20 minutes.
- If you live further than 20 minutes and do not feel comfortable putting your materials in the mail, a minimal pick up fee will be charged.
